Re: being reported

you know what, i bet these penalties are based on the first LOI as well.  I bet this would have been the penalties regardless of the second LOI

Hell, everyone else in america seems to be able to do it.

2 year bowl ban, 13 scholorships, 4 year probation, 170k fine..

the 2 year bowl ban would suck if true, the rest is inline

That is 13 additional schollies on top of the 11 we've already imposed for a total of 24. With the current players who will transfer plus the reduced schollies (likely spread over four years), we're screwed.

Edit: Now being reported that it's 13 schollies total. If true, that is a break. We'll know for sure when the decision goes online today.

Re: being reported

I’m also seeing where only upcoming Seniors are eligible to transfer but unfortunately even if that is true that is where the bulk of our talent is.
Not sure what Ole Miss does regarding an appeal?  Other schools have appealed and gotten reduced penalties in the last few years.
Yancy is saying the RR lawsuit will be the avenue for our appeal.  Bless his heart.

How passive aggressive is THAT?  OM doesn't have the balls to fight back and relies on a local business to shoulder the load alone......

I wonder if it's dawned on these mental midgets yet that the policy of ignoring the attacks eminating from state college are dangerous and have to be countered.....  No war was ever won by playing defense....  As old Stonewall once declared "Attach Sir......ATTACK"

Unfortunately our 'leaders' will slink away once again and allow state college to set the agenda unchallenged.  We don't have an inkling of what a stonewall is.....we have ivory cover walls.......

Chase Parham and Godfrey are both saying 13 now.

Re: being reported

Does a 4 year probation include a "no television clause" for that duration?

Re: being reported

Nope, no TV Ban. I would be shocked if any program ever got that penalty again.
