MSU hires Joe Moorhead as HC...
Current OC at Penn State. Rumored to be bringing Don Brown from Michigan as DC. Neither has any ties to, or coaching experience in, the South (much less Mississippi).

Some State fans I've seen seem pretty happy with the hire. Honestly, to my recollection, I had never heard of him.

He’s done well as coordinator and as a head coach at small schools. I don’t see him being more annoying than Mullet.

Me, neither, before this hire. Penn's State's offense was ranked 28th in the country last season. The Ole Miss offense--playing in the SEC and in a difficult time for the football program--was ranked 23rd. Let that sink in.

To be fair he had the 28th ranked offense with a veteran qb, heisman finalist rb and a ton of veteran talent up front whereas we played half the season with a backup qb, a beat up offensive line and a rb (wilkins) who was not but about 80% most of the year, lose Pennamon to a wicked knee injury late in the year and Swinney who still hasn't recovered from previous years injuries.

wilkins had a knee injury his first year at OM. Took him a year or so to come back. Swinney will be better next year after a year under his belt. Penn will take a year to get back as well. Knees normally get better pretty quick, it is the mental aspect that just takes time to overcome with guys like RBs

I'm so glad that we don't have to hear from that Mullen clown. Boy, UT, UGA, and FSU are going to really hate that guy. He was stupid to leave State. He would've had a statue built to him there and could have stayed as long as he wanted for almost $5 million a year. He's going to have to resurrect UF and they will can him quicker than a goose sh*ts if he doesn't.
