They are looking for a complete rebuild including GM and Coaches. I think Eli is close to the end of his contract. He will probably be somewhere else next year. Playing for a contender that needs a QB. Maybe the Broncos where he can tutor Chad until he is ready.
That would be a hoot, if both Manning brothers QB the Broncos to Super Bowl wins.

More to do with discovering whether or not Geno can be the stop-gap next year, methinks. Giants are on the hook for ~$15-16M, bonuses included, with Eli in 2018.
