I’ll admit up front…
that I foolishly expected more from a Chris Beard-coached team. At least we’ve found out early in the season that even Chris Beard can’t work miracles with untalented players. Hopefully in seasons to come he can recruit some real basketball players. Tonight we beat Detroit Mercy by just one point while we were favored by 19.5. In their first two games, they lost each by 30 points. Some of the better SEC teams will skulldrag us all over the court.

That was a very shocking score to see last night. Looking at the stats, Detroit Mercy beat us on rebounds (36-31) and they were 13/18 from FT's compared to 5/6 for us. I haven't watched any of our games, but just based on looking at the stats, it looks like we have issues down in the paint?
