I knew Bjork has a relationship with Taggart. Honestly, I'm glad, if this story is true. Not the guy is like to see hired.

Godfrey has reported on Twitter this report was inaccurate and that no offer was made.

There are some rumblings that Taggart is high on the list I hope not. I don't think he is what Ole Miss needs at this time. But it is not my call and I am glad it isn't but I will say I believe some of us or a group of us on the board could probably make a good hire.

Taggart does not have a good W/L record as a college HC. His record is 46-50 and he is currently 6-5 at Oregon. Taggart is the 42nd highest paid coach in NCAAF making $2,00,000 with a $1,825,000 bonus structure. The current buyout for Taggart is $8,150,000.
At this point, though, he would be better than what is currently at Ole Miss. In addition, he may provide a spark of hope to the fan base for better future years.

Taggart's overall record isn't great, but at WKU and South Florida, the W/L record improved each year while he was at each school and he's done better at Oregon than a lot of people thought he would -- including beating a hot Arizona team yesterday to secure bowl eligibility. I don't think it would be a bad hire IF it were to happen.
