Luke Altmeyer transferring
No big surprise - I wish him the best. Seems to be a good kid and I thought he played OK in the Sugar Bowl considering the circumstances

Am I correct that Dart is the only QB we currently have? I’m thinking Dent is out of eligibility. Do we just have a true freshman as a backup or get a quality backup from the portal?

Dent is the only backup scholly QB we have for Dart going into the bowl game. There are two freshmen walk-on QB's we have on roster - Braden Waterman and Davin Wydner (both 3 stars).
As far as recruiting, we have a solid commit in Marcel Reed who stated that even if Lane had left, he was still coming to Ole Miss. The guy is a true dual threat and highly underrated. I wouldn't be surprised to see Lane pickup another QB in the portal just for having a backup with experience.
