The Aubies had wanted to wait until after the Iron Bowl to make the offer so that Cadillac could have his moment coaching against Alabama.  Since Kiffin has his offer, now is the time to tell him to make a decision before the Egg Bowl and keep him off the sidelines for the game.  The main thing is to make sure Ole Miss does nothing to violate the current contract.  Lane will be ready to bolt to Auburn, raid the Rebel roster, and then probably send derogative tweets about Ole Miss.  It is ashamed that he does not realize what team took a chance on him, gave him a Power 5 coaching job, and drastically increased his pay.  In the end, it seems that Lane is Lane and nothing has changed about him or his personality.
