there will be rumblings that turn into grumblings because until the assholes at the ncaa release the findings, no coach worth a damn will even look at ole miss.

Of these candidates, here are my thoughts:

Willie Taggart is 45-50 as a HC.  That is hardly a stellar record and he is currently 5-5 at Oregon.  Hopefully he is not truly being considered at HC at Ole Miss.

Mike Norvell has done a great job at Memphis, but only has two years of HC experience at Memphis State.  His record is 16-6 in two years and he has the Tigers ranked in the polls.

Charlie Strong failed miserably at Texas, so why would he be expected to do any better at Ole Miss.  He coached Louisville when they were in The Big East and American Athletic Conferences.  Neither conference can compare to the SEC, and his failure at Texas might indicate that he is not a quality coach for a big conference team.  Strong would simply be cashing a check in Oxford, waiting on a better job.  In the past he has stated his dislike for Ole Miss, and has used the race card in recruiting battles against the University.

Jeremy Pruitt does not have any HC experience, but he has been an assistant at Georgia, Florida State, and Alabama.  He has experience with Saban and has had some good defenses wherever he coached.  Pruitt's defenses were part of three National Championship teams.  The big question would be is he ready to be a head coach?

Ole Miss is in a wait and see mode.  The NCAA cloud continues to linger and there seems to be no dissipating of this cloud.  It seems like the NCAA is intent on not announcing their ruling in order to continue to punish Ole Miss.
