An Alabama fan asked me Sunday how MSU gets away with ringing cowbells through the entire game. I hadn't really thought about it, but I thought the rule was between plays or something like that... The cowbells were certainly affecting the QB's ability to hear at times. We will have to deal with the same thing when we play them. I think it's a travesty that State is the only school with permission to use artificial noisemakers, but even more-so that they can break the rules set in place for ringing their bells, etc...

The Moo Uers say its tradition. If anyone in the conference can to anything about the cowbells, then its Alabama. The cows are allowed to only ring the bells between plays after the ball has been snapped. There is no doubt that they have taken advantage of this situation by ringing the bells whenever they want to ring them.

Theeir saying is "ring responsibly" their action is "whatever, I do what I want".
In all seriousness, I thought they did stop ringing when center gets over the ball. At least for the most part.

Maybe it's just my hearing but I thought they were non-stop. Ring Responsibly, my ass!

Here's the answer: get the Rebel fans that are going to the game to swallow hard. Dress up in moo-u colors, swallow hard again, and get a double handle cowbell. Ring the bells like crazy whenever the Rebel offense lines up, and don't stop. If we have enough doing it, the the "ring responsibly" necks will take up the practice thinking it is okay. If done right, we get 1st downs on penalities & they lose the bells. 😁
