Re: seems to be a lot of chatter

I've heard that the ruling was coming out by end of this week as well. The sooner the better.

Re: seems to be a lot of chatter

The ruling cannot come soon enough.  Now if the penalties are too severe, can Ole Miss appeal the decision?  Of course what Ole Miss did is chump change compared to Scam Newton and the proverbial Car Lot called The University of Alabama.

Re: seems to be a lot of chatter

A friend and co-worker of mine from Southaven called me a short time ago and asked if I'd seen or heard any rumors of Bjork being out, as in fired.  When I saw this thread about "a lot of chatter" I thought maybe that's what this would be about.

Re: seems to be a lot of chatter

I have not heard that anywhere. Most stuff I saw seemed to be talking about favorable outcomes but of course, all cryptic

I haven't seen even a suggestion of that anywhere, except from the posters who repeatedly post that "We should clean house." No poster I believe to have some "connections" has even touched on that.

I have a feeling that it'll be another couple of weeks just because it seems to always drag on.

This is probably more like it, or it could be a couple of months.  That way the NCAA could inflict more pain on the next coaching hire and recruiting.

Re: seems to be a lot of chatter

here is the deal with "draggin it out".  it makes no sense for issues to get worse the longer it goes on.  The investigation is over.  The evidence is out there, the defense has been heard.  If it was cut and dried, we would have heard the outcome a long time ago.

I now feel the reason this thing is running long is because the NCAA is doing an internal investigation on their own.  I feel that just maybe, the people in charge see their rogue enforcement staff may be been over zealous and has been working internally to address these issues and to review in a more objective manor the actual allegations.

I mean, come on.  some of the high level accusations the ncaa tried to hit us with is outrageous.   letting a kid sleep on a couch even when he has a place to live on campus is a violation?  Are you serious?  I have said this 100 times over, what the investigators concocted was 90% self reported nonsense that would have resulted in year over year self imposed penalties.  But they were not having that.  They tried to stack a load of mole hills on top of each other and are trying to call it a mountain.

screw that, I am starting to believe we may have been able to point out their over zealous witch hunt and the big wigs can't hide it so they are having to get all their I's and T's tended to before they come out with the verdict.  If it was bad, it would have already come out.  I think it is not going to be as bad as the rest of us are fearing.  I believe they will find that the investigation was unfair, over bearing and intended to inflict as much destruction as possible and our penalties will take this into account...

Re: seems to be a lot of chatter

also, to add to the post above, you notice how all of a sudden the national anti ole miss news talking heads have been quite.  I feel that again, this is because the ncaa internal admins have found the gross and bias mismanagement of the enforcement staff and is evident with the light wrist slaps over the last 3 investigations at other schools
