I know some are a little disappointed in this Class so far from the early signing day. Remember these HS recruits in this class have been recruited for 3-4 years and have relationships over those years. It truly means something. You saw schools like OU,FL etc lose guys because of those relationships. The schools those players flipped to are either the school where the coach went, or to a school they had 2-3 in their list before committing...The ones they had relationships with.
Starting with the 2023 class this is the class that Kiffin had with the kids as OM HC. So I am excited to see what he does with HS players in this class. When you have a great year like OM had this season, the results usually dont show in recruiting until the following year.
A&M for example, have had some good classes under Jimbo, but after a 10-1 year and orange Bowl win last season and ranked #4 at the end of the season, the benefits showed in this 2022 class. some A&M fans thought that after the Orange Bowl A&M would flip some of the top unsigned players on the feb signing date, but it just doesnt work that way.. Relationships..
I am also excited to see what Kiffin does in the portal in the next 3-45 days and then this summer after all schools go thru spring and more kids hit the portal.
Be excited OM fans, you have a great HC, a program playing in the Sugar Bowl, studs calling wanting to come to OM from other schools. Great time in history to be a OM fan.

Some of these players eligibility i am trying to put together. I know 2020 was like It didnt count. So some may still have a RS season left, etc. So it's my best guess..lol

Jayson Jones Oregon ( I am not sure If I posted him before)
3 years left
Oregon defensive lineman Jayson Jones entered the NCAA transfer portal this week after his freshman season for the Ducks.
The Calera, Ala., prospect had 19 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in 2021. Despite not being asked to rack up a lot in the statistical category, Jones played his best in the Pac-12 Conference, making 15 of his 19 total tackles against conference foes.
Jones was an Under Armour All-American in high school. As a senior, he was named to the 2019 All-Birmingham High School Football Team as an offensive lineman and earned honorable mention 6A all-state honors from the Alabama Sports Writers Association as a defensive lineman.
He finished his senior season with 55 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and seven sacks, earning a selection to the 2019 MS/AL All-Star Game.

COMMITTED to OM
Danny Lockhart USC
3-4 years left
From my understanding, Lockhart will be a preferred walkon at OM for the spring. If he does well, has a chance at being put on scholarship for the fall. Love a kid that bets on himself
