I hate we didn’t hire Mike White before Florida got him

It was a mistake getting rid of Andy Kennedy.  Mike White would have been an excellent choice for Ole Miss.

Although I am not sure of the story, it seems like a former Ole Miss basketball player who was or is in the Ole Miss administration started a campaign to get rid of Andy.  He had PowerPoints and data to attempt to take Ole Miss basketball in a new direction.  Apparently, his campaign got enough attention to get rid of Kennedy.  The only thing is that the campaign failed to make Ole Miss basketball more than the mediocre and sub-par program it is.

Kermit is not the answer for coaching.  It appears he does not really have a close connection to the players and he does not appear to be an effective SEC coach.  There is no doubt that recruiting basketball is hard at Ole Miss, but there is also no doubt that a good coach could get quality players to come to Oxford.  Andy Kennedy is missed and getting rid of him was a mistake by Ole Miss.

Getting rid of Andy was the right move.  We had the one run with Marshal Henderson but we’re pretty much mediocre with a knack for choking under AK.

AK did barely miss on a couple of 5 star and big time recruits.  Maybe one or two of those would have been enough to get the momentum going.  But ifs and buts...
