    Need Oxford people to be on the lookout

    tomorrow for Arch sightings....

    Some of my family saw him at the Fair yesterday, so he is close

    We always enjoyed the fair and you could always count on the Mannings being there.  It has been a few years since we went, but the fair was losing a lot of its old charm with people refurbing their cabins to be too elaborate and the expense of tickets.  I am sure it's still a fun time, though.

    I havent been in about 10 years, but grew up on that red clay.  I remember staying in family cabins off the midway and over by the pavilion and nobody had AC in the cabins.  When i was about 8-9 ( about 1976) I remember one of my uncles had a window unit in his cabin and man I thought he was rich.

    I was there in 1980 when Reagan gave his speech, shook his hand and Nancy rubbed my head.

    Great times, saw Tanya Tucker, Tammy Wynette, Marty Robbins and so many more as a kid.

    It is good to have Arch on campus.  This will give him the chance to get a better understanding of the program.  You can be assured that if Lebby leaves, he will be recruiting Arch wherever he goes.  Hopefully, during the visit, Yancy won't act like some star strucken goofball.
