This could be the worst group of pitchers, collectively, that Bianco has ever had. Gave up 3 HR's to a very bad team, and certainly the worst lost of the season.

I was sitting at the game with one of my sons and predicted two of the HR's before the pitch. Most of the fans know our bullpen better than Bianco.

Its Bianco Ball at its BEST!!!

OM also made 4 very bad mental mistakes while running the bases. These mistakes cost us at least (minimum) 2 runs and gave UTM 4 outs, and helped to end rallys early in the game which eventually helped to seal the defeat.
And I also predicted the last game winning HR pitch.
As I mentioned in another post - Ole Miss does not have a "PITCHING" coach, does not teach mechanics, has no idea of what pitch to call in ANY situation, doesn't know how to pitch to the corners, leaves too many fast balls over the middle of the plate, doesn't know how to teach the proper way to throw a curve, off-speed pitches, or change up, two seam fast ball, four seam fast ball or where, how and the multiple ways of throwing each pitch and why it is important to develop this ability while using the same motion, arm angle, and delivery (all in the mechanics of pitching).
Ole Miss doesn't perform the tasks needed during fall practice to strengthen arms, increase control, develop the significant pitches (mentioned above), or stress conditioning, control, concentration, or confidence. We do have some talent in our pitchers BUT NO COACH !!!! That in the nut shell is the problem.

TexasRebel is correct. We don't have pitchers, we have throwers who don't understand/are not taught how to pitch. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Mike Bianco is the David Cutcliffe of baseball. But hey, as long as the kids get to throw their beer in the air and fans yell "throw it in the dirt" all is good, right?

Yesterday, we would have 0-2 counts and either end up walking the batter or serving up a fastball right down Broadway... Bianco is notorious for leaving a pitcher in too long OR yanking one prematurely. The kid, Johnson was doing a good job, not giving up runs and Bianco does his magic, the next inning he sends out another pitcher that gives up a base hit, a walk and a 3 run homer... Same song. second verse

Bianco is too hard-headed to hire someone to coach the pitchers because he thinks he can do and he thinks he is doing an excellent job. Ole Miss has done about all it's going to do with Bianco as HC. Granted Bianco did elevate the sport of baseball at Ole Miss, but it is time to move the program forward and not get caught up in the Bianco roller coaster. Bianco likes to micromanage all aspects of the team, so he will not hire or allow anyone to simple coach their position without interfering with their coaching efforts. It is what it is and Ole Miss baseball will just continue to have yoyo results without getting to the Omaha championships.

Ole Miss baseball has reached its ceiling with Mike Bianco. It's disheartening to see him make the same game management mistakes season after season. I've heard, however, he has a big support base in Oxford because of the crowds OM baseball brings to town. The main argument for keeping Mike is that we will not find anyone who could do better. We'll never know as long as we keep letting fear make the decision for us.

Bianco has enough of the big-time fans behind him to dictate his tenure at Ole Miss. Keth Carter extended Bianco's contract last year, even though the season was canceled before SEC play started!!?!??! Carter is part of the powered elite in Oxford and has other people telling him what to do. KC did make a good hire with Kiffin, but Carter had also planned on keeping Luke on for another season. Thank goodness for Moore's dog pee antics, or otherwise, Luke would probably still be at Ole Miss.
