Ole Miss baseball senior Tim Elko, the SEC leader in RBIs this season, has torn his ACL, per an announcement from coach Mike Bianco.

That's such a huge loss for this team. As inconsistent as we are at the plate, losing Elko is gonna hurt. We struggled last night against a really bad team until later on in the game. From what Bianco said, they are gonna see how Tim feels to see if he can still play later on without surgery. My guess is that won't be happening and he'll end up getting the surgery done.

Not unheard of to wear a brace and play the rest of the season and then have surgery after season. Might not be 100% but could still play
