Getting rid of a blatant symbol of racism of the past that has greatly hurt this state throughout the years. Remember MS's very explicit statement on why that flag was embraced:

"Our position is thoroughly identified with the institution of slavery-- the greatest material interest of the world."

Yesterday was huge for finally moving in the right direction.

Will Georgia and Alabama be called by the SEC and NCAA next? Or, will it hurt their bottom line too much financially to do so?
