Honestly, the CDC needs to be shut down after all of this or extremely overhauled. They failed to be prepared even though they had 2 months to prepare and when it started hitting the US, they prevented testing. They have lied about vaccines. They have lied about Lyme disease. They are a useless bureaucratic organization.

The CDC definitely proved they are incapable of handing a major disease outbreak. Instead of using the German kit that worked and was adapted by WHO, they wasted time trying to re-invent the wheel with a kit that did not prove effective. They also made it difficult to get testing, so if someone was actually positive, it might take them a few weeks to convince the CDC that they need to be tested. Something definitely needs to be done to overhaul this governmental agency.

There is nothing the Cdc can do for this virus at this point. Testing does not prevent or cure.
I am fine with all this preventive quarantine stuff, but the economic devastation coming is going to outweigh the shutting down of society over a virus 97% of the population will recover from.

What did the CDC lie about concerning vaccines?
For one thing. They said that they don't cause autism. It just came out in a court case a couple of weeks ago that they have ZERO studies showing that they do not cause autism.

Hey Catfish, the WHO actually offered test kits to them and they denied it. A lot of virologists are saying the initial test kit from the CDC was flawed and used 30 year old methods instead of newer and more advanced methods. The incompetence is staggering.

The fact that the CDC would not use the kits that worked is really a stupid decision. It shows arrogance and definitely incompetence. Why would anyone want to reinvent the wheel when it is already rolling, especially when time is extremely critical. The sad thing is that this is the agency that is supposed to protect us from matter like this and they allow politics to get in the way of the general well being of the people.

Yeah, what an agency is supposed to do is really different than what they actually do. The CDC, FDA, and NIH are all just bureaucracies pushing red tape in front of production and stifling success.

Vaccines don't cause autism. The guy that made the original claim that they did later admitted he lied because he was being paid to do so (by a company wanting to sell competing vaccines) and ended up having his medical license stripped. There is not a single real, medically peered study, that says that vaccines do. The Earth isn't flat either.
