Re: Napier turned down State

Like I posted on another thread, he coached as Lane';s WR coach at Bama for 3 years. He wants nothing to do with going against him head to head. He can;t win in coaching, recruiting, PR.. Nothing

Re: Napier turned down State

Yay!!!!  I have been on the road and working in NC today and did not have time to check the internet.  When I got home I thought Moo U would have fired Moorehead and hired Napier.  Maybe they can get Croom back and have Jokie as the Director of Recruiting.

Just Left A Duck Camp And There Were Lots Of Mississippi State..

....heavy hitters. Could call them out on this board {and most of you would know them}..however..I will not, they are actually pretty good guys - - and yes they had alot to say about what has been going on behind the scenes over there.

Lot's of layers to this onion..but..the one common theme coming out of everyone of their mouths was that when Joe Moorhaed decided to go with QB Garrett Shrader {who is white} over QB Keyton Thompson {who is black} it divided and fractured the team - - and Joe Moorhead {and his coaching staff} just could not get it fixed, or patch this major issue up inside the Mississippi State locker room - - and they apparently tried really, really hard.

If true {sadly} that's not the first time something like that has happened in college football, nor {again, sadly} will it be the last. It just became a little more PUBLIC in this particular case because of that final fight that took place during {or after} the bowl practice.

Oh, and one of the things that is really pissing them off is that Ole Miss has just experienced a 5 year NCAA death grip of an investigation and they {Mississippi Sate} in their eyes should have put some major, major distance between the 2 programs and {again} in their eyes, that just did not take place - - and they don't like it .

They don't like it at all.

Re: Napier turned down State

One thing to consider is that if Napier is the main target for Moo U they will continue to negotiate with his agent.  Napier has a bowl game coming up on Monday and most assuredly does not want his potential hire and exit to over shadow the bowl game.  It could be a wait and see about this matter.
