Re: Joe Jon Finley - TE Coach Candidate

He is making 450K + 50K bowl bonus this year. Not bad for a TE coach.

What do you think about his coaching abilities and do you think he would leave TAMU?

Re: Joe Jon Finley - TE Coach Candidate

As far as if he would leave A&M, i am sure he would, but for a move up in his responsibilities i would assume. He has only been at A&M for 1 year and he is a Texas kid, so I would be surprised if now were the time he would leave.  But like they say, money talks and ......

Re: Joe Jon Finley - TE Coach Candidate

Getting word that Finley will be headed to OM.  he and Lebby have strong family ties, both of their dad's were long time HS coaches in Texas and Finley was at Baylor one year with Lebby and Clements as their right hand offensive GA.

Re: Joe Jon Finley - TE Coach Candidate

Finley seems like he would be a good coach.  At one time TE was a position of strength for Ole Miss.  Hopefully if Finley comes to Ole Miss he will revamp the TE position.

Re: Joe Jon Finley - TE Coach Candidate

Ingram was like Haley's comet, they don't come around that often. Knox didn't get utilized when we had a qb who could throw his sr year. We have a good looking candidate coming this fall and 7 on the roster, I think. Lots of scholarships for 1 position. Knox and Ingram were both good blockers and that's pretty important too. Is Finley not a done deal?

TE will be a huge emphasis in Kiffins offense.
