Lane Kiffin adds three more names to Ole Miss football coaching staff
OXFORD — Ole Miss' 2020 football coaching staff is starting to fill out.
Ole Miss announced three new members of coach Lane Kiffin's staff on Monday night: offensive line coach Randy Clements, special teams coordinator Blake Gideon and senior personnel analyst Alex Collins.
Clements has a long-standing relationship with new Ole Miss offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby. The two worked together at Baylor and Southeastern University for 10 seasons. Clements was the offensive line coach at Baylor from 2008-16, working as the co-offensive coordinator for his first four seasons in Waco and the running game coordinator in the following five.
Most recently, Clements worked at Florida State in 2019 and Houston in 2018. In 2017, he spent one year working under Lebby at Southeastern University.
Gideon worked as the special teams coordinator at Houston in 2019, coaching a Cougars unit that led the FBS in blocked punts and blocked kicks. Prior to Houston, Gideon worked at Georgia State and Western Carolina and he worked as a graduate assistant at Florida and Auburn.
Gideon was a four-year starter as a safety at Texas from 2008-11.
Collins rejoins Kiffin, under whom he worked in the same capacity at FAU in 2019. Prior to that, Collins worked in similar capacities at Nevada and Southern Cal, where he overlapped with Kiffin for a brief period.
