I suspect they're required to post it in order for the 'search committee' to proceed.....to at least show that the position was advertised openly.....and not just another inside GOB hire.
He was panther quick and Leather tough.
If he figured that He'd been pushed enough.

I highly doubt we will do anything different with this season. What's the point? To fire Luke and name another interim coach just costs us more money in the long run for the same shitty results.
If I had to guess I would say state employee job postings have to be made well ahead of a potential hire so maybe this means they have an agreement in place already with our next HC?

Everything about this entire situation from the time that Freeze resigned has been odd to me. I agree the timing is suspicious. Maybe it's a 60 day job posting window or something? I've seen some government jobs have some really crazy posting and closing timeframes compared to corporate job postings.

I think today was the day where whoever is actually making the decisions realized Luke can't be the coach next year. Go ahead and post it so the required timeframe for posting can be satisfied.

- He loves Ole Miss
- He played at Ole Miss
- He has no experience as a Head Coach
- He tutored under David Cutcliffe
- He is politically connected to the GOB
