Does anyone else feel it's in the best interest of this program if we lost 100-0?

I know that the kids need a W. The fans are discouraged that I know. We retain Luke regardless for 1 more anyway.

Matt Luke will be fired one day. I feel that is the inevitable outcome. I'm not sure why we must let it get so unbelievably bad before we fire the guy. Nothing is going in the right direction. Anyone that believes it is, is just blind to facts.

This is a really interesting because many state fans are thinking the same thing so they can move on from Morehead.
Luke isn't going anywhere this year no matter who wins that game. Any coach hired/retained/fired/etc. based on the outcome of a single game is absurd. Either he was good or bad enough before the game to make the decision. Otherwise it's like rolling the dice.

Isn't that how many attribute to how Luke was able to get the HC gig? I'm hoping we get embarrassed at State (we won't) and Luke's family will tell him to step down to not ruin their name any further. I can always wish!

In 3 years, he has ZERO winning seasons and no big wins. Our recruiting continues to be dead last in our division and our fans have largely abandoned the program. If he is retained, we will lose millions in ticket sales alone. Considering where we are as a fan base, even if we started winning, I think we have lost quite a few fans permanently. I'm about to be one of them, to be honest. I'm holding on to hope but if they really keep Luke, I'm done. I may frequent this message board but otherwise, I will simply find something other than Ole Miss to occupy my fall.

I'm all for forcing change but when the ball is kicked off, I have to root for our team. I just wish the idiots in charge wouldn't make us blow the whole program to the ground before hiring someone competent.

My point exactly. He should not have been hired permanently based on that game. Period. And it's my understanding we had already agreed on someone else until Vitter stepped in and forced the hire of Luke. All of this is BS.
Firing him shouldn't be based on the state game either. He should be removed for the totality of his work or kept for the same reason.
