We've been without an AD since May. I get that we had to hire a chancellor first but we could have at least had a list of candidates and put out feelers to judge interest. We need to get an AD soon and get Matt Luke out of here quickly. With FSU and Arkansas opening up, we really need to be next in line.

this is why the fans are so frustrated. Anyone who thinks about the levels of leadership and the voids that are in between knows that we needed a Chancellor first. And if we hired a chancellor, the people who were in charge of appointing one I hoped would have asked the questions of timelines and the priorities of getting an AD asap.
If we don't have an AD hired by the end of the month then it just adds to chaos.
If we end up hiring Chris Carter, the expectation I would think most have is to get all the open positions across the athletic department filled asap. Apparently it has been running at well below the needed capacity for over a year.
Then there has to be a plan laid out to all our coaches, specially with football. Next year's first 5 games are a nightmare. we could be in a complete world of hurt and if we don't have a QB who can throw the ball downfield we could be 0-5 real easy. Now the second half of the schedule is more tolerable but the issue is perception and how to manage perception and keep the team's spirits up while we go through the first half of the schedule.
But the point is, it just feels like each step we have taken over the last 3 years has been with no plan or direction. It is time our administration shows there is an ounce of planning

If Corral splits, we don't have a qb for spring practice.

The Ole Miss administration does not seem to understand the planning concept. They are more of a shoot from the hip group.

If we do not have an AD before the Egg Bowl, then I fully expect Luke to return.

Fairly sure that doesn't matter. We don't have the $ to buyout a towel boy. We will have to let him go full term.

He is coming back either way. If I was luke, I would play a load of our young guys this week. I would save my stars a bit, get our 2nd stringers a lot of play time against LSU and get ready to play state. The state game has to be a big win. It is the biggest game of his career because if he loses, it puts him in a hole that he simply can’t get out of.

We don't have enough money to keep him. It will cost us more to keep him than it would be to pay his buyout and send him on his way.

If you know of someone who is a winner who would come, great, but if we have to go fishing again. NO! Don't need that kind of reject plus about 6 mil out the window. We may still be paying Nutt!
