Very unsatisfying win...

against a very inferior opponent. Why unsatisfying? We couldn’t effectively pass the ball against a team as bad as New Mexico State. Folks, Ole Miss has no passing game—none. We won’t beat LSU under any circumstances, and we sure as hell won’t beat MSU without an effective passing game. It’s really sad how our football program has gone into the toilet. All of the blame cannot be placed on the NCAA

Nope, but Luke will always have an excuse to throw out there.

Yes and at the time it was the right decision - Orgeron was nowhere near effective a head coach as he is now. I still say being fired from Ole Miss was good for Ed Orgeron - he learned from his mistakes and resolved that if he got another chance he wouldn’t make those mistakes again and he didn’t. I can’t help but respect a guy for that.

And if anyone should be kicking themselves for letting Orgeron go, it’s USC, not Ole Miss. when he was their interim, he led them to a winning record and beat a top 15 Stanford team.

Of course, if either Ole Miss or USC had kept him, and he had success and LSU came calling he likely would have left either to go back home.

Re: Very unsatisfying win...

Oregon was not ready.  He had the tools, just didn’t have the maturity and experience at the time.  He put together an amazing amount of talent in such short order.  Some crazy talent that took us from bottom of the sec to one of the best teams in the nation when Nutt took over until he destroyed our program.

I wish the ole miss fans who hated Oregon and gave him such hell wouldn’t have because for as long as he is at LSU, he will make sure ole miss suffers each time we play them.

Yep! Today was the first time in a long time that I just didn't care. I know that's sad. With the passing of my dad in July, it hasn't been the same anyway... but watching the continual demise of our program... I'm just not that interested. I watched the Bama/LSU game instead.
