Don't be surprised if Jones is not a top candidate. He is connected via the Luke family, has UMAA ties, is politically connected to the GOBs, and was a former player. Also, Archie likes him. The plan to have Jones as AD started back in the Pete Boobe era.

Hs Dad played with Archie but Archie doesn't embrace controversy and may feel compelled to shy off of Jones. I have no insight so let it roll.

Searches lately done to fill positions at OM are a damn joke to anyone who has paid five minutes attention to them. I have little to no faith this search is serious, and I would not be surprised at all if the person has already been selected.
