Our brain trust needs to figure a way
to bring Freeze back. He was the best thing to come to OM since Vaught. Seriously! I was total doubtful at the time but i admit I was wrong. I am Christian and I subscribe to the forgiveness idea. So from that standpoint I'm ok. Am I greedy? Well, I don't expect to win all but hopefully more than 3-4. We don't need some re-tread like RR trying to come and understand the OM culture. All this is based on CHF sincerely getting off the whores. No proven coach will EVER come. We will always be hoping for an up and come er and they love on i.e. Tubby and then we all get pissy, Would CHF consider a second chance?

Freeze did a lot for Ole Miss football in a very short time. Getting him to come back might not be out of the question, but there are some big donors who do not want him at Ole Miss. Of course this is ridiculous because he was successful, but they are part of the orchestration of removing Freeze so Luke could be head coach. These alumni against Freeze could be referred to as antifreeze.
Also, after Freeze's charades, it would be hard for parents, recruits, and other people to believe him. They would simply dig up the bad stuff, rehash it, and say Freeze cannot be trusted.

Are you kidding me? Bring Freeze back? No way in hell! Not just for his off-field antics but because he started thinking he was a god and chased a few highly ranked recruits instead of finding the right fits. His success in that department went to shit before he quit. There were far more misses than successes on the recruiting trail. I really wish he had had to coach fall 2017 because that team had nothing on defense and was falling apart. He should have had to reap what he had sown.
Those early years were great but it was gone. Time to move on to someone new and whoever is hired better not have "Mississippi" ties unless he is better than everyone else. I'm so sick of having to hire people who "know" MS. That's BS. Find someone who knows how to recruit and win and let's move on.

To beat Bama back to back makes you a big time coach. No other big time coach would consider OM. His return would be eradicated on the belief that he has asked forgiveness and that our fan base is capable of it too. Of course, many of them think everything is gong along fine in this year again re-building phase.

So you want the guy who kept Matt Luke on staff, who hired McGriff and Longo as coordinators and couldn't recruit defensive talent (namely LBs) to come back? Na I'll pass.

There has to be SOMEONE a lot better than Freeze - I don't want him back even as a janitor.

I want first 3 years freeze, not the last 2 years freeze. His first 3-4 years, you pretty much saw improvement each week and you just felt we were heading in the right direction. The last few years, in hindsight, I saw some warning signs specifically in his demeanor where he just thought he was untouchable. But then you could tell the ncaa issues where wearing on him and I think that is what also opened the door to him failing into the moral traps he got wrapped up in
Had he stayed true, kept working hard and kept his mouth shut about the ncaa issues, we would have already been in a different situation right now. But he scared the program and the ncaa got the multiple pounds of flesh.
Anyway, freeze will inch his way back up the ladder and if he keeps winning, he will get his chance. It just won’t be in the sec
