It is pretty screwed up how Ole Miss was on such an upswing for years - the NCAA's long term investigation killed recruiting for Ole Miss, and now they are really going to hit us even harder once the COI's ruling comes down. I pray that the administration is able to get a hell of a HC after this season is finally over.

Somebody told me at lunch today that Freeze is pissed off about being fired that he thinks that Bjork should have let him stay and work out his personal problems in private. The person that told me usually knows what there talking about.

I'm glad he's angry. Let him have a dose of how we feel.

All part of the master plan to promote Luke to HC. It's sad that I'm actually about 50/50 on thinking that's a crazy idea and there is actually truth to it. I guess we will see which is true when we see if we are looking for a new coach after 3 wins or "need to give Luke another chance bc he took over late and we need to stabilize our program".

I make no bones about it. I want them to hire him back as a screw you to the NCAA. He can coach and he can recruit. His problems were personal.

I still say I think we'll wrap up a winless conference record by taking a butt kicking at the hands of MS State on Thanksgiving night and then that will be the end of the Luke experiment.

If I remember correctly when Freeze was initially questioned about the origina phone number in question he claimed it was a misdial and he had no knowledge of whose number it was ---- of course that turned out to not be an honest answer. No matter what line of work you're in, you don't lie to your boss....that'll get you fired quick. Maybe if he had been honest, he'd still be at Ole Miss. I don't know if that's the case or not; just speculation.

Freeze made his bed, now he has to sleep in it. He quit coaching after he got the big head and lost control of the football team. The rise and fall of the present Ole Miss team is all the work of Freeze. Most likely if he were to return as head coach at Ole Miss, he would not be able to get the ship back on course and the fans would endure several more years of subpar seasons.

Freeze will end up getting a show cause, most likely, and won't be a any Power 5 school for a long time. I do expect to see him as a OC at some smaller school in a couple years. Then again, maybe his buddy will hire him over at Auburn since his daughter (Jordan) is going to go to school there.
