Just do it Ed!

This is an excellent move by Meek to take back his $5.3M donation. Ed Meek did more for Ole Miss than any of the race baiters who called for his head. He dearly loved Ole Miss and make a sizable donation to the school. Since he was tarred and feathered by his school, it is good that he is taking his donation and making better use of it. Personally, I just don't recognize or connect with Ole Miss now. If the school will support a teacher who advocated criminal activities against other people and not honor the teacher who contributed lots of time and donations to the University, then the school is not worthy of receiving the big donation by Ed Meek.

This is another reason that Ole Miss is suffering poor support from the fans. There is a sizable portion that is protesting based on the recent liberal bend of the administration. Ole Miss is shooting their selves in the foot on multiple fronts.

Good for him. Ole Miss has done a great job of alienating its loyal supporters. They’ve had a bunch of democrats calling the shots for a long time now and this is what you get when that happens. I’ve unsubscribed from every email they send me and did not renew season tickets.
I just had to google to see who we are playing today. Looks like it’s Cal. I hope Cal beats us by 30. I will never support Matt Luke as head coach.

Dude, it was Republicans who were responsible for both Matt Luke, Vitter and the direction that Ole Miss is heading. Stop blaming a political party and start blaming the individuals who are actually responsible

That's exactly what you are doing yourself. Blaming Republicans... All of the liberal PC stuff just sounds so Democrat. I don't care what affiliation they have with a political party, they are wrong.

The 'problem" at Ole Miss is not Democrats or Republicans, not liberals or conservatives, not symbols (or lack thereof), etc. The problem is that there is a collective mindset at Ole Miss from the top leadership down to many of the fans. That mindset is that Ole Miss is "the Flagship" and we'll always be better than "State College"...well, we just are. It's our rightful place. In the meantime, MSU is cleaning our clock in student recruiting and some other critical areas. In football, they've now got an advantage on us. (Yeah, I know, the NCAA, and blah, blah, blah. Well, folks, that was mostly the result of bad decisions on our part.) We need to wake up and smell the coffee!

I'm sorry, but I don't agree. The problem is definitely the P.C. liberal culture. Every time we start to get ahead and put the past behind us, some leader digs up 1962 and reminds the world how incredibly racist and terrible Ole Miss is. Now, the Lyceum is constantly giving in to student demands alumni be damned. When we have a homecoming KING and the interim Chancellor has enough authority to move a historic landmark that has been standing in the same place since 1906, but the same guy doesn't have enough authority to hire an AD or fire a terrible coach, then the world is simply upside down. They aren't just doing this for inclusion, they are making Ole Miss into a laughing stock and a UC Berkeley type campus culture.

Theyll be wanting to tear the Lyceum down before its all over with.
