Thoughts
This game is what it is -- Ole Miss and Alabama are worlds apart right now and we all knew this one would likely be ugly.
Matt Luke, Phil Longo and Wesley McGriff all need to be gone -- they're all in over their heads and it's not working.
I hope Ross Bjork and the firm Ole Miss has hired are working as diligently as they can....Ole Miss put little to no effort in the last three coaching hires and all 3 came back to bite us.
Hopefully the NCAA will make some ruling in October or first part of November - at least then we'll know if we have a 2 year bowl ban or not.
Speaking of coaches - outside Saban, there's not a good one in the bunch right now. Kirby Smart is looking promising, but the others --- it ranges from decent to not good. Besides Smart, what recent hire has been a good one? Florida and McEleain? No. Tennessee and Butch Jones? No. Vandy and Derek Mason? No. South Carolina and Will Muschamp? Heck, no. Kentucky and Stoops? That one has been OK, but Stoops teams still have issues.
It's gonna be a long year, I still think we're staring down the barrel of a winless SEC record...this team is just not good. I haven't felt this disenchanted about watching Ole Miss since Nutt's last season. Sadly, Freeze has screwed Ole Miss about as badly as Nutt --- not quite that bad, but still bad.

I've been sick all weekend, so I'm too sick to really care today... ask me again next week. I agree that Luke and company are in way over their heads... I'm ready for baseball season!

I'm going to take my chances with volleyball and soccer. Can't as frustrating as football and much more pleasing on my eyes.

-RB can't block pass rush or there's an empty backfield when everyone knows a rush is coming
-QB and or coaches don't know how to read rush
-Where is Haynes?! He had ZERO tackles. Last 2 years he was destroying Bama. I'm sorry but I think he has gone soft.
-O line can't block and defense knows how to cover WR routes
- surprising Wilkins had a good games with 101 yards rushing. He's the only RB that ran outside the tackle box.
- Players playing like they know they're going to lose or don't care (see Lodge).
At the beginning of the year I thought the offense would be the bright spot on the team. I still think it should be but Longo's offense will never succeed in the SEC. He needs to be fired immediately (Yes, he is worse than Luke).

Longo is a direct hire by Freeze. Freeze was intent on high schoolish, Juco, lower division offensive schemes. Even though Bjork opened the checkbook for new hires (or at least thats what he said), he fired Dan Werner and gave the reigns to Longo, who has the same philosophy. Werner was painted as the fall guy for Freeze's offensive mistakes. It is quite obvious that the Longo offense will not work in upper level play. Rock1 warned us about Longo, and his warnings were right. We can only hope this fiasco gets better, but the fans can squarely blame Hugh Freeze for this mess.

As bad of a hire as it was by Freeze, I think Freeze would take over play calling after the Cal game. He would go back to WR screens which would probably work with our big receivers blocking.
