If you don't mind me asking - who's reporting on Lewis and the COI questioning? I've not seen anything and was under the impression everything in Covington was kept quiet behind closed doors with media not having much to report.

None of the Ole Miss people are talking. Apparently some of the non-Ole Miss folks--possibly defense attorneys for individual defendants--have share some tidbits.

Leo played his Freshman year.  You can't play and red-shirt at the same time.  Isn't he a Sophomore?

You all assume the NCAA needs LL testimony to nail us.  I bet they will argue that we deserve servere punishment with or without LL testimony.  OM did admit to many of the charges.

The only thing I assume is that no one in our administration has any cods.

There seems to be some opinion that the second NOA--which underpins LOIC--is supported mostly by the testimonies of Lewis and Jones. Without that, LOIC becomes harder to justify. I don't know how true this is. I'm just passing it along.

The first NOA didn't have LOIC in it. It wasn't until the amended NOA that the LOIC was added, and the Lewis, Jones, Miller crap was what caused that charge. It also caused some level 2 violations to be bumped to level 1. Make no mistake - if the Lewis stuff gets thrown out, so will the LOIC and other items going back to level 2.

It won't be thrown out IMO.....they want OM on a platter and will twist themselves into a pretzel if necessary to make that happen....

Re: Neal reports on the COI meeting, sorta...

it just depends on how lawyered up we get if the ncaa sticks to the sickening levels of bias and still tries to stick us with this BS.  some of the academic fraud mess is not good and a few other things that just end up being bad judgement.  Either way, we have been self imposing penalties since last year.  But the NCAA made us carry an anchor around our neck for 5 long years and over a year longer after the tunsil draft night CF as well as the Leo drama.

If the Leo Drama ends up being crap and found the he lied and the ncaa enabled and coached them to create this mess, we have to get something back in terms of a "time served" type deal in which we will move forward with the already agreed upon self imposed penalties, but the bowl ban had better have been "served" last year. because all this mess ended up contributing to our self destruction last year.  The longer this lingers, the more pissed we all should be at the NCAA and I am not accepting that this is just "the process"...

Re: Neal reports on the COI meeting, sorta...

Does anyone know if the SEC had representation there at all?  Or have they completely abandoned us? I would think if Bama or most other schools were in this situation, the commissioner or some other high level guy would be there.  But what the hell do I know.....

Re: Neal reports on the COI meeting, sorta...

There was SEC representation there, not that it would ever help us.
