Neal claiming to have sources is a joke. Not a soul at Ole Miss would talk to him.

Neal went out on a limb saying as much as he did. If Ole Miss gets hammered he's lost what iota of credibility he might have had.

Well here is the deal. this was supposed to be a 3 day hearing. Leo spent more time than expected in front of the panel than originally thought. That is not a good thing for a guy like Leo IMO. the more someone like LL talks, the more trouble he makes for himself.
So to only spend about half the total time expected during the hearing and the heavy stuff for Ole Miss was supposed to come the next day in which they handled by yesterday afternoon, it just feels like a good thing. Honestly, it sucks having to wait up to 2 months to find out what the deal is, But I will say it feels like a good thing to finish early shortly after lewis is finished and OM checks out shortly after. Hypothetically, after the LEO testimony, if he is found to be full of crap and Ole Miss had information that backs up their side, i could see the COI could say the second LOI is crap and the 1 LOI which had already been dealt with and self penalized for could hold a lot more weight.
I will say, the longer this draws out the less that scenario may be true. If it was found LEO lied and nothing or little outside of the first LOI could be proven, then there is no reason to drag an already 5 yr investigation out another 2 months. within 2 weeks i would hope we get the verdict. the closer to the 6-8 weeks we wait the more I think that is a bad thing. UNless that is purely procedural and the outcome is known but not made public until then..
either way, this entire process is crap and the NCAA sucks. At least the enforcement staff does. Bigly

There are some other reports also saying that Lewis did not get "softball" questions from the COI, and he did not handle it well. Also, some reports that the COI took issue at times with the investigators. My understanding is that Ole Miss people are not talking. Any sources are non-Ole Miss people who have knowledge of what went on at the COI meeting.

I hope they discovered Leo was lying and they burn his and MS Stars' ass for paying him to play. I'd love for us to be able to say, Bye Leo!

based on the podcast on rebelgrove, the COI meeting based on the information he has went well for Ole Miss. Again, my opinion is that a shorter COI hearing with most of the time was spent on Leo. That most of the items in the 1st LOI was addressed and an agreed upon set of penalties already in place. So basically, my hope is that leo's story fell apart and the COI saw this and put a stop to it. Again, every week this stays in limbo, it increases the odds of how bad this might get.
I still think we should or should have argued last year was our bowl ban.

I have heard much the same today. LL is screwed either way when you think about it. If he "forgets" who gave him the money he's immediately ineligible. If he says it was the lawyer, RR or anyone else he's getting his butt sued. My guess is we won't know anything until after the season and he declares for the NFL. That alleviates the NCAA from having to address his eligibility or immunity issues, they agree to what we have self imposed and we move on. Forde hinted that the announcement would not be until after the Egg Bowl. That makes sense bc their lunatic fans may be ready to bomb their own stadium if the end of Ole Miss in their eyes doesn't pan out like Rosebowl has prophesied. Pure speculation on my part to be clear.

Isn't LL a true sophomore? If so he'd still have another year before being able to declare for the NFL draft.

I thought I read where he redshirted the first season making him a rs sophomore and eligible for the draft.
