We do not have a running game because Freeze never made it a priority.  He was interested in passing the ball.  Freeze put little emphasis on bruising backs because his philosophy was to sign small scat backs with break away speed.  Well, that might work in High School or the Southland Conference, but not in the SEC.  Hugh even allowed a back to dictate policy on being the only back recruited for that class.  Presently this back stays injured and has not effectively contributed to the offense.  As a result of this fiasco, Ole Miss only recruited one back that year and then several backs jumped ship.  Now the RB depth chart is dismal and lacks talent.  Longo does not put much emphasis on running, either.  The fact that Ole Miss lacks a running game was a big reason why Cam Akers did not sign with Ole Miss.
