This boarder issue is madening
First and foremost, no matter the intent of the family, I truly do not believe the kids should be a pawn. But let's not kid ourselves, the parents are willing to allow the separation otherwise they would not allow it to happen.
I truly feel for the kids because they are kids. They don't know anything other than what the parents tell them and the circumstance they find themselves in.
With that said, F the media. Serious F the media. The media did not care about the years this has gone on in the past. People who are losing their minds because a law that has been on the books for many years prior to Trump, enforced by several presidents and upheld by the liberal 9th circuit court. in fact, some of the images that started this conversation were actually during the obama administration. but this never changed the fact the media purposely created this narrative because of the many issues found out recently because of the hillary clinton FBI prob. This "crisis" was created to shield the lies of the media and the protection of liberal soldiers like those in the FBI and the last administration.
If this was an issue, it should have been brought up during the 8 years of the last administration in which there is documented evidence of separated and caged kids. But the media nor the left touches this issue other than, "well, the numbers are increased because of a "zero tolerance" policy? Which is nonsense. It means the previous administrations failed to uphold adjudicated lawout of what ever reason. Which is also just as sick.
Here is the deal, illegal immigration is unacceptable and even if you are seeking "asylum", there are already ways to handle the request and is being properly followed by so many people on a daily basis. There are reasons for why they separate the kids and sometimes it is because of good intentions and the safety of the child. But the media has made it impossible to have a civil dialogue about topics like this. The emotionally driven outrage makes people blind to reality.
it is a shame how we live in the most "educated" and "informed" era yet have become so blindly ignorant to reality...

The illegal aliens are breaking the laws of the United States of America. If they are allowed to break these laws, then should I be able to smoke pot, take pills, drink alcohol, and drive my car?
Both examples are against the law and both can cause damage to others. For instance illegal aliens are causing a high tax burden on society by taking advantage of the system. This directly effects your pocket book. Drinking, doping, and driving can also impose a danger on others by putting a menacing driver on the road.
If you are not going to abide by the laws of the land, then you need to be in prison or cast away on an island to survive on your own. Now if these illegal aliens want to come to the US, obtain citizenship, and then be productive members of society, then they may be welcome. If someone knows they could be separated from their children, then they might think twice before breaking the law.

Trump could cure cancer, and the media would bitch saying he's contributing to overcrowding and causing a food shortage. He could then end world hunger and the media would crawl his ass saying he's causing an obesity epidemic.
I'm not a Republican nor a Democrat, and it's just downright sad to see such a huge divide in this country - and it's only gonna get worse. The media sells this hatred and people have totally bought into it, and it's really insanity. Just like the Democrats blaming Russia for Hillary losing the election (when Hillary and Obama have more under the table dealings with Russia than anything the Republicans have ever done) - people have become sheep and unable to think for themselves.
This border thing, we have people illegally breaking into this country. This isn't like we're rounding up people who are here legally, and it's not like this hasn't been going on for forever - this is just another item that the liberal media has decided to use to try to attack the POTUS over. Have you noticed how the term "illegal" is now being said to be a "racist" term? Insanity folks............. I will say this - Melania was an absolute idiot for wearing that jacket, knowing damn well that it would provide another talking point.

The laws obviously don't apply to them.....Break in to the country and get all kinds of welfare, free housing, free food, send their kids to school, medical care.... As to breaking the law the politicians simply look the other way...

this is just another item that the liberal media has decided to use to try to attack the POTUS over.
I think POTUS is just the focal point....an easy place to attack. The REAL issue here is the destruction of the culture of this country..... They want to turn us into an equal to Central America.....and in the process they want to turn us into a Western European Socialist nation. Look at the 'immigrant' problem in Western Europe.....their cultures are being completely watered down to the point they have no national identity.
During ancient times invading nations would, once they conquered a foe, water down the national identity by hauling off part of the population 'slaves' and flooding the conquered nation with 'immigrants' that would NOT be loyal to the country.... That, in turn, weakened and made the country less of a threat and easier to control......
Bring in enough of the illiterate population from Central America who only know corrupt government and socialist society and give them voter rights as they enter and you can eventually turn this country into Central America.....
THAT is why the left wants ZERO borders....
The false narrative that they are seeking "asylum" is so patently fallacious.....if they WERE seeking asylum why did they NOT seek asylum in Mexico? Instead they make the 2000 mile trip through Mexico to break into this country and have their script down perfectly......"Asylum"...That is a Get Out Of Jail Free card by any other name.... Or should I say "Get Into America Free Card"?
And the most cynical thing in all of this is the use of emotion as a weapon....."Oh, the poor children..." Those "poor children" are being used as a battering ram to gain entry to this country..... Once the kids are here then open the door and bring in the family...... WAKE UP AMERICA....you are being invaded.

I think there are bigger things to worry about than this. In all honesty, this just seems to be distracting everyone. What we need is a massive reduction in the size of the federal government.

Last Sunday I visited an Episcopal church. The priest gave her sermon on the border crisis. We were just waiting for her to blame it on Trump. I almost just got up and walked out, but did not want to appear to be rude.
There are lots of issues with this matter that most people do not understand. According to a border patrol agent, about 80% of the children crossing the board with adults are not with their parents. The cartel and gangs have recruited many of the children and "families" to cross the board and plan to eventually use the children in the sex slave industry.
American need to focus on the needs of people in our immediate communities and our own country before wasting funds on people who are committing a crime to enter the USA illegally. You can be assured that there are lots of children within a short drive of your home who are in need.

I would say the government is the #1 enemy and media would be #2. They are all playing politics and distracting the populace from real life. Meanwhile the democrats and republicans are spending us into oblivion. There's really no difference between the 2 parties. That's why there are "2" parties. It's easy to win everything and control everything when you own both sides of the same coin.
