I hate our offensive scheme from what I've seen so far...

Not imaginative at all. Hoping we were holding back - if so, we better not hold back any in the second half or we'll end up losing this one. Could be a very long season.

What about Sweeney?  Is he being productive or still a self centered, always injured, primadonna?

Has Sweeney even played? If so, I haven't noticed him.

I agree.  Commentator said Longo only has 20 something plays.  I'm sure (at least I hope) that number doesn't count different variations out of same plays

There's way too many screen passes. Shea is not accurate on the long throws. There will be a lot of INTs this season.

All this time, I thought it was Freeze running all the stupid screens and other goofy high schools play.

We are in for a long season, I'm afraid.  We have AJ and DK, throw to them down field or at least deeper than the line of scrimmage.

Re: I hate our offensive scheme from what I've seen so far...

Air raid offenses won't work against the SEC..... I recall the days of the Wacky Wac where some of the first air raid offenses appeared....they would score countless points against each other and sun belt type teams....then play a power team and get crushed.....  When you disrupt the timing of those offenses the wheels come off.

What I saw tonight tells me we still can't run block.  The tell to me was when we had the ball on the 1 yard line and kicked a field goal....  Now...an OL HC would want to punch it in there if he had any faith whatsoever in his OL......and I don't care if it WAS 4th down..... The message that sent to the OL was, we know you can't do it.....

Did the QB ever get under center?

Once, on a fourth and one at the end of the game. Not sure why Shea was still in the game.

What play did they run and did we make the 4th and 1?
