Shows how much I know about what's happening. Had no idea that Florida was struggling. I guess I should just keep my mouth shut. I couldn't care less about it anymore anyway. Wouldn't waste a plug nickel of time or money on it like I used to.

You can be assured that many of the fans, donators, and administration will want Michael White as the next Ole Miss HC. As mentioned above, if he struggles at Florida, he will struggle at Ole Miss.

AK is having a press conference today to announce he's stepping down after this season. Hope he gets a TV job - he'd be entertaining to listen to.

I'm right there with you regarding MW and Florida. I thought he was doing incredibly well but listened to some Florida guys talking about it and their comments sounded like posts from Ole Miss message boards. Lol. Difference is they won't tolerate anything less than deep runs in the NCAAT annually. That is their expectations and they have the donor support, shoe deals, etc to back it up and make it happen.
Sure MW would struggle at Ole Miss just like every head coach from now until we pull our heads out of our asses and address the root of the problem. We can wash, rinse, repeat with coaches as often as possible but the results will be same or more likely worse than what is now wrapping up.
That alone is enough for MW to never do anything publicly to diss his alma mater but will never consider returning to this program. He escaped. He ain't coming back and the fact that our fanbase thinks he will is proof positive of their collective disillusionment.

I've been saying that for 5-6 years now. He's a natural behind the mic. He knows basketball and it's clear he watches plenty of it.
I'm not so sure he won't coach again. He's way too good of a coach to not be seriously considered. Look no further than what got him fired at Ole Miss. Outsiders clearly understand how remarkable that is and the credit is given where it has been earned.
