Dan will be paid $500 ,000 as QB Coach at SC. OC will get $750,000.
Good for Dan. Should be an interesting game this fall. Our defense will be tested.

Dan Werner is a good coach and great developer of QBs. It is unfortunate for Ole Miss that Werner is no longer a part of the Ole Miss football staff.
Speculation is that Freeze needed a fall guy for his disastrous 2016 season, so he fired Werner in addition to Wommack. Freeze knew that he was going on the hot seat, so he decide to make some coaching staff changes. In addition Freeze felt threatened by Werner because Werner was someone on staff who could have taken Freeze's job. Freeze knew with the NCAA issues on the horizon that his time at Ole Miss could be short lived.
Next year Ole Miss plays South Carolina, and South Carolina is now on the rise. It always seems when Ole Miss picks up a new opponent, they seem to be a much improved team. Do not look for South Carolina to be a pushover win next year and most likely will be a loss for the Rebels.
There is no doubt that Ole Miss should have reached out to Werner once Freeze resigned. Werner could have been a quality leader and definitely a quality developer of QBs.
